Shockwave Therapy Barrie
What is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave Therapy delivers strong energy pulses to injured tissues, which stimulates faster healing, reduced pain, restoration of function, and recovery from an injury. This treatment can be effective for months to years after receiving treatment.
How does Shockwave work?
Shockwave sends a mechanical impulse to stimulate healing cells to go to the affected area, promoting proliferation and healing to occur. Healing can be delayed if taking anti-inflammatories (aspirin, Ibuprofen) or using ice.
